The Stanley News in brief: He's just in the Pyrenees with Catriona MacColl a short film called (from the Fulci classic L'Aldila, THE HOUSE AT THE CEMETERY wall and a Living Dead BELL ROPE!) THE MOTHER OF TOAD rotated. The film is part of the episode movie THE THEATRE BIZARRE, and for those Buddy Giovinazzo (Director of COMBAT SHOCK), Tom Savini, Karim Hussain (Director of Subconscious Cruelty, whom we encountered in the documentary IN THE BELLY OF THE BEAST ) , and some unknown director Douglas Buck and David Gregory stage segments.
THE VIY, the adaptation of the novel by Nikolai Gogol, existence seems not to come ("I suspect that my take on the vampire myth, that it has its basis in an ancient blood libel dating back to a medieval genocidal conflict between Christianity and Islam that perhaps a little too close to the bone for the back "), but he writes a Screenplay for director Nacho Cerda (who was with his film AFTERMATH well represented in the aforementioned documentation).
For Vincenzo Natali (CUBE) Stanley just adapted the novel by JG Ballard HIGH RISE.
VACATION, Stanley's new feature film that is repeatedly postponed, will be shot in February 2011. ("With luck and the grace of God, Inshallah, I hope to be back behind the camera as a fully fledged writer-director hyphenate before too very long.")
